Rhode Island High School Basketball - Westerly tipped by East Providence
February 3, 2023: Westerly, RI 02891 In Friday's league match, the visiting East Providence Townies basketball team scored a tight 55-53 triumph over the Westerly Bulldogs.
In their next game, the Townies meet the Scituate Spartans (North Scituate, RI) in a State Championship match, on Tuesday, February 7. East Providence will attempt to move on its 3-13 season record. The Spartans enter the match with a 1-13 record after their 50-40 league loss to Cranston West (Cranston, RI).
With the defeat, Westerly moves to 6-13 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to North Kingstown (North Kingstown, RI) to meet the Skippers in a State Championship match on Tuesday, February 7. The Skippers enter the match with a record of 17-2. North Kingstown won 70-39 in their recent league match against South Kingstown (Wakefield, RI)
