Maine High School Basketball - Sanford ripped by Marshwood
February 7, 2023: South Berwick, ME 03908 The Marshwood Hawks basketball team scored 63 points and held the visiting Sanford Spartans to 42 in the Hawks non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Hawks now sport a 12-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Westbrook for a A South contest on Thursday, February 9. Marshwood will battle a Blue Blazes team coming off a 61-41 league loss to Falmouth (Falmouth, ME). The Blue Blazes record now stands at 14-5.
The Spartans (5-12) will now prepare for their contest against Thornton Academy (Saco, ME). The Trojans enter the AA South contest with a 14-3 record. In their last contest, Thornton Academy was routed by Bonny Eagle (Standish, ME), 60-59, in a league contest.
