Maine High School Basketball - Sanford holds off Bonny Eagle
January 10, 2023: Standish, ME 04084 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Sanford Spartans (Sanford, ME) and the host Bonny Eagle Scots (Standish, ME), saw Sanford's basketball squad hold off Bonny Eagle by a tally of 52-45.
With the victory, Sanford improves its record to 2-7 on the campaign. The Spartans host Biddeford (Biddeford, ME) to confront the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 13. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 2-7. Biddeford lost 55-51 in their recent league challenge against Brunswick (Brunswick, ME)
Next up, the Scots confront the South Portland Red Riots (South Portland, ME) in a AA South challenge, on Friday, January 13. Bonny Eagle will attempt to improve on its 5-4 season record. The Red Riots come into the challenge with a 8-2 record after their 65-55 league loss to Gorham (Gorham, ME).
