Maine High School Basketball - Sanford overwhelms Massabesic
January 17, 2023: Waterboro, ME 04087 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Sanford Spartans (Sanford, ME) and the host Massabesic Mustangs (Waterboro, ME), saw Sanford's basketball squad wallop Massabesic by a count of 62-27.
With the victory, Sanford upgrades its record to 4-7 on the campaign. The Spartans host Kennebunk (Kennebunk, ME) to play the Rams in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 20. The Rams come into the challenge with a record of 6-5. Kennebunk lost 72-66 in their recent non-league challenge against York (York, ME)
Next up, the Mustangs play the Gorham Rams (Gorham, ME) in a AA South challenge, on Saturday, January 28. Massabesic will attempt to upgrade on its 0-9 season record.
