September 16, 2023: Carlisle, KY 40311 In Saturday's non-league contest, the Nicholas County Bluejackets (Carlisle, KY) volleyball squad knocked off the visiting Magoffin County Hornets (Salyersville, KY), by a margin of 2-0.
Next up, the Bluejackets battle the Bath County Wildcats (Owingsville, KY) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, September 19. Nicholas County will attempt to better on its 9-7 season record. The Wildcats come into the contest with a 3-15 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to West Carter (Olive Hill, KY).
With the loss, Magoffin County drops to 2-13 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Johnson Central (Paintsville, KY) to battle the Golden Eagles in a District 57 contest on Monday, September 18. The Golden Eagles come into the contest with a record of 14-2.
