California High School Basketball - Great Oak trounces El Capitan

The Great Oak Wolfpack (Temecula, CA) basketball crushed the visiting El Capitan Gauchos (Merced, CA), 64-40 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Wolfpack (9-4) will now prepare for their test against Santa Fe Christian (Solana Beach, CA). The Eagles go into the non-league test with a 5-9 record. In their last test, Santa Fe Christian walloped Tri-City Christian (Vista, CA), 33-30, in a non-league test.

The Gauchos now own a 8-7 record. They play next when they travel to Golden Valley for a Central California Conference test on Thursday, January 3. El Capitan will encounter a Cougars squad coming off a 34-33 non-league win over Santana (Santee, CA). The Cougars record now stands at 4-7.
