The Nevada Union Miners basketball team (Grass Valley, CA), was nudged 77-76 in Saturday's league battle with the host Rio Linda Knights (Rio Linda, CA)

The Knights now possess a 10-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lincoln for a Foothill Valley battle on Wednesday, February 2. Rio Linda will confront a Fighting Zebras team coming off a 64-54 league win over Placer (Auburn, CA). The Fighting Zebras record now stands at 17-5.

The Miners (8-15) will now prepare for their battle against West Park (Roseville, CA). The Panthers come into the Foothill Valley battle with a 6-17 record. In their last battle, West Park was nudged by Oakmont (Roseville, CA), 73-37, in a league battle.
