North Dakota High School Basketball - Oakes nips Lisbon
February 10, 2024: Lisbon, ND 58054 Oakes Tornadoes (Oakes, ND) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Lisbon Broncos (Lisbon, ND), 74-71 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Oakes upgrades its record to 11-7 on the campaign. The Tornadoes travel to Medina/Pingree-Buchanan (Medina, ND) to play the in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 13. The come into the bout with a record of 11-8. Medina/Pingree-Buchanan won 56-44 in their recent league bout against Strasburg/Zeeland (Strasburg, ND)
Next up, the Broncos play the Central Cass Squirrels (Casselton, ND) in a A Region 1 bout, on Tuesday, February 13. Lisbon will attempt to upgrade on its 8-11 season record. The Squirrels come into the bout with a 10-8 record after their 107-99 non-league win over Hawley (Hawley, MN).
