Delaware High School Basketball - Wilmington Friends can't hold off Archmere Academy
February 9, 2023: Claymont, DE 19703 The Wilmington Friends Quakers basketball team (Wilmington, DE), was nudged 36-34 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Archmere Academy Auks (Claymont, DE)
The Auks now possess a 9-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Delaware Military Academy for a Diamond State battle on Saturday, February 11. Archmere Academy will battle a Seahawks team coming off a 68-46 non-league loss to Caravel (Bear, DE). The Seahawks record now stands at 2-15.
The Quakers (9-4) will now prepare for their battle against Tatnall (Wilmington, DE). The Hornets come into the Independent Schools battle with a 6-9 record. In their last battle, Tatnall edged St. Andrew's (Middletown, DE), 54-46, in a league battle.
