The Beaver Bobcats football team (Beaver, PA), was knocked off 35-7 in Friday's league challenge with the host South Fayette Lions (McDonald, PA)

The Lions (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against New Castle (New Castle, PA). The Hurricanes come into the WPIAL 4A Northwest Nine challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, New Castle knocked off Montour (McKees Rocks, PA), 17-11, in a league challenge.

The Bobcats now sport a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Knoch for a WPIAL 4A Northwest Nine challenge on Friday, September 7. Beaver will meet a Knights team coming off a 48-12 league loss to Blackhawk (Beaver Falls, PA). The Knights record now stands at 0-3.
