January 17, 2012: St. Marys, PA 15857 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Elk County Catholic Crusaders (St. Marys, PA) and the visiting Curwensville Golden Tide (Curwensville, PA), saw Elk County Catholic's basketball squad knock off Curwensville by a score of 51-36.
With the victory, Elk County Catholic improves its record to 7-5 on the campaign. The Crusaders travel to Brookville (Brookville, PA) to battle the Raiders in a District 9 challenge on Friday, January 20. The Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 9-3. Brookville lost 55-40 in their recent non-league challenge against Ridgway (Ridgway, PA)
Next up, the Golden Tide battle the West Branch Warriors (Morrisdale, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 20. Curwensville will attempt to improve on its 1-8 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 9-4 record after their 70-62 league win over Williamsburg (Williamsburg, PA).
