The Pelion Panthers football team (Pelion, SC), was beaten 36-21 in Friday's non-league challenge with the host Florence Christian Eagles (Florence, SC)

The Eagles (5-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Heathwood Hall Episcopal (Columbia, SC). The Highlanders come into the non-league challenge with a 3-4 record. In their last challenge, Heathwood Hall Episcopal was beaten by Ninety Six (Ninety Six, SC), 26-14, in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers now sport a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they host Williston-Elko for a non-league challenge on Friday, October 8. Pelion will meet a Blue Devils team coming off a 52-28 league loss to Wagener-Salley (Wagener, SC). The Blue Devils record now stands at 3-3.
