Minnesota High School Basketball - Belle Plaine tops Sibley East
January 31, 2023: Belle Plaine, MN 56011 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Belle Plaine Tigers (Belle Plaine, MN) and the visiting Sibley East Wolverines (Arlington, MN), saw Belle Plaine's basketball squad knock off Sibley East by a count of 57-48.
With the victory, Belle Plaine upgrades its record to 4-14 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Mayer Lutheran (Mayer, MN) to play the Crusaders in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 3. The Crusaders come into the challenge with a record of 14-2. Mayer Lutheran won 59-43 in their recent league challenge against Lester Prairie (Lester Prairie, MN)
Next up, the Wolverines play the Tri-City United [Montgomery-Lonsdale/Le Center] Titans (Montgomery, MN) in a AA Section 2 challenge, on Friday, February 3. Sibley East will attempt to upgrade on its 4-14 season record. The Titans come into the challenge with a 8-12 record after their 60-49 non-league win over Minnesota Valley Lutheran (New Ulm, MN).
