Delaware High School Softball - Polytech bounces Smyrna
April 18, 2024: Smyrna, DE 19977 The crowd at Thursday's league match between the Polytech Panthers (Woodside, DE) and the host Smyrna Eagles (Smyrna, DE), saw Polytech's softball squad nip Smyrna by a count of 8-3.
The Panthers now sport a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they host Milford for a Henlopen North match on Tuesday, April 23. Polytech will face a Buccaneers squad coming off a 18-2 non-league win over Odessa (Townsend, DE). The Buccaneers record now stands at 3-5.
With the loss, Smyrna falls to 2-5 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Dover (Dover, DE) to face the Senators in a Henlopen North match on Tuesday, April 23. The Senators enter the match with a record of 1-8. Dover lost 23-14 in their recent non-league match against Hodgson Vo-Tech (Newark, DE)
