In Thursday's league match, the host Asheboro Blue Comets basketball team scored a tight 40-38 triumph over the Montgomery Central Timberwolves.

In their next game, the Blue Comets meet the Central Davidson Spartans (Lexington, NC) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, February 15. Asheboro will attempt to better on its 4-19 season record.
