The Russell Red Devils basketball team scored 61 points and restricted the host Montgomery County Indians to 51 in the Red Devils non-league victory on Monday.

The Red Devils now sport a 7-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lewis County for a District 63 contest on Friday, January 6. Russell will battle a Lions team coming off a 58-40 league win over Raceland (Raceland, KY). The Lions record now stands at 6-2.

The Indians (8-4) will now prepare for their contest against Bryan Station (Lexington, KY). The Defenders come into the non-league contest with a 4-3 record. In their last contest, Bryan Station prevailed over Woodford County (Versailles, KY), 55-15, in a non-league contest.
