The Crestwood Red Devils basketball team (Mantua, OH), was nudged 67-65 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Springfield Spartans (Akron, OH)

The Spartans now possess a 7-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Streetsboro for a Metro battle on Friday, February 10. Springfield will confront a Rockets team coming off a 52-43 league loss to Woodridge (Peninsula, OH). The Rockets record now stands at 6-13.

The Red Devils (5-15) will now prepare for their battle against Kirtland (Kirtland, OH). The Hornets come into the Chagrin Valley - Valley battle with a 11-8 record. In their last battle, Kirtland edged Grand Valley (Orwell, OH), 75-62, in a league battle.
