December 29, 2023: Astoria, OR 97103 The Riverside Pirates (Boardman, OR) basketball nipped the host Knappa Loggers (Astoria, OR), 52-49 in Friday's non-league test.
The Pirates (12-1) will now prepare for their test against River View (Kennewick, WA). The Panthers go into the non-league test with a 3-6 record. In their last test, River View got by Highland (Cowiche, WA), 69-28, in a non-league test.
The Loggers now own a 4-5 record. They play next when they host Faith Bible Christian/Life Christian for a 2A Northwest test on Wednesday, January 3. Knappa will encounter a squad coming off a 52-48 non-league loss to Portland Adventist Academy (Portland, OR). The record now stands at 4-4.
