Homewood Patriots (Homewood, AL) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting McAdory Yellowjackets (McCalla, AL), 40-32 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Homewood upgrades its record to 9-3 on the season. The Patriots travel to Bibb County (Centreville, AL) to clash with the Choctaws in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 6. The Choctaws go into the bout with a record of 1-1. Bibb County lost 66-26 in their recent non-league bout against Hillcrest (Tuscaloosa, AL)

Next up, the Yellowjackets clash with the Helena Huskies (Helena, AL) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 8. McAdory will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Huskies go into the bout with a 3-7 record after their 43-27 non-league loss to Chelsea (Chelsea, AL).
