Texas High School Basketball - Buna overwhelms Legacy Christian Academy
December 9, 2023: Beaumont, TX 77713 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Buna Cougars (Buna, TX) and the host Legacy Christian Academy Warriors (Beaumont, TX), saw Buna's basketball squad wallop Legacy Christian Academy by a count of 56-31.
With the victory, Buna upgrades its record to 10-6 on the campaign. The Cougars host Orangefield (Orangefield, TX) to play the Bobcats in a 3A Region III District 22 challenge on Tuesday, December 12. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a record of 13-1. Orangefield won 66-61 in their recent non-league challenge against Bridge City (Bridge City, TX)
Next up, the Warriors play the Allen Academy Rams (Bryan, TX) in a TAPPS 2A District 6 challenge, on Friday, December 15. Legacy Christian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 7-5 season record. The Rams come into the challenge with a 3-6 record after their 66-50 non-league win over Calvary Baptist (Conroe, TX).
