Nevada High School Basketball - Portola nips Wooster
December 30, 2021: Reno, NV 89502 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Portola Tigers (Portola, CA) and the host Wooster Colts (Reno, NV), saw Portola's basketball squad hold off Wooster by a tally of 30-28.
With the victory, Portola improves its record to 9-5 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Hug (Reno, NV) to play the Hawks in a non-league challenge on Monday, January 3. The Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 0-5. Hug lost 53-34 in their recent league battle against Churchill County (Fallon, NV)
The Colts (3-6) will now prepare for their battle against North Valleys (Reno, NV). The Panthers come into the 3A North - West battle with a 2-10 record. In their last battle, North Valleys was nudged by Portola (Portola, CA), 43-19, in a non-league battle.
