The Bishop McNamara Mustangs basketball team scored 97 points and held the visiting Bishop O'Connell Knights to 28 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Friday.

The Mustangs now sport a 12-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Mary's Ryken for a Washington Catholic contest on Tuesday, January 24. Bishop McNamara will battle a Knights team coming off a 60-49 non-league loss to Poly (Baltimore, MD). The Knights record now stands at 8-10.

The Knights (9-8) will now prepare for their contest against Bishop Ireton (Alexandria, VA). The Cardinals enter the VISAA Division I contest with a 12-7 record. In their last contest, Bishop Ireton was routed by Paul VI (Chantilly, VA), 85-49, in a league contest.
