January 6, 2024: Cedar Grove, NJ 07009 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Cedar Grove Panthers (Cedar Grove, NJ) and the visiting Newark Vocational Eagles (Newark, NJ), saw Cedar Grove's basketball squad knock off Newark Vocational by a count of 55-36.
With the victory, Cedar Grove upgrades its record to 4-3 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Tech (Newark, NJ) to play the Panthers in a Super Essex - Freedom challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 1-4. Tech lost 76-51 in their recent league challenge against Weequahic (Newark, NJ)
Next up, the Eagles play the McNair Academic Cougars (Jersey City, NJ) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Newark Vocational will attempt to upgrade on its 0-7 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 5-3 record after their 58-51 league win over Ferris (Jersey City, NJ).
