The Mesquite Wildcats basketball team (Gilbert, AZ), dropped 49-33 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Valley Vista Monsoon (Surprise, AZ)

The Monsoon now possess a 7-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Maricopa for a non-league battle on Tuesday, February 23. Valley Vista will battle a Rams team coming off a 74-43 non-league win over Paradise Honors (Surprise, AZ). The Rams record now stands at 3-8.

The Wildcats (10-2) will now prepare for their battle against Buckeye (Buckeye, AZ). The Hawks come into the non-league battle with a 5-8 record. In their last battle, Buckeye beat Moon Valley (Phoenix, AZ), 53-48, in a non-league battle.
