The Marquette Catholic Explorers basketball team scored 69 points and restricted the visiting Metro-East Lutheran Knights to 57 in the Explorers league victory on Tuesday.

The Explorers now sport a 14-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Christ Our Rock Lutheran for a Midland Trail contest on Friday, February 3. Marquette Catholic will battle a Silver Stallions team coming off a 62-31 league win over Father McGivney Catholic (Glen Carbon, IL). The Silver Stallions record now stands at 24-0.

The Knights (4-16) will now prepare for their contest against Bunker Hill (Bunker Hill, IL). The Minutemen come into the Prairie State contest with a 6-17 record. In their last contest, Bunker Hill was defeated by Lincolnwood (Raymond, IL), 40-37, in a non-league contest.
