The Ashley Screaming Eagle crushed the visiting New Hanover Wildcats baseball team by a tally of 11-1 in Tuesday's league bout.

The Screaming Eagle now hold a 9-2 record. They take the field next when they host Topsail for a Mideastern 3A/4A bout on Wednesday, March 27. Ashley will face a Pirates team coming off a 1-0 league win over Hoggard (Wilmington, NC). The Pirates record now stands at 6-3.

Next, the Wildcats face the Laney Buccaneers (Wilmington, NC) in a Mideastern 3A/4A bout, on Wednesday, March 27. New Hanover will attempt to advance on its 5-5 season record. The Buccaneers enter the bout with a 4-5 record after their 5-4 league win over West Brunswick (Shallotte, NC).
