The Kaplan Pirates (Kaplan, LA) softball routed the host Ouachita Parish Lions (Monroe, LA), 11-0 in Wednesday's non-league bout.

The Pirates (20-5) will now prepare for their bout against North DeSoto (Stonewall, LA). The Griffins go into the non-league bout with a 23-3 record. In their last bout, North DeSoto toppled Sterlington (Sterlington, LA), 7-1, in a non-league bout.

The Lions now possess a 12-17 record. They play next when they host Ruston for a 5A District 2 bout on Tuesday, April 2.
