October 16, 2018: Los Alamos, NM 87544 The Los Alamos Hilltoppers volleyball team (Los Alamos, NM), went down 3-0 in Tuesday's league challenge with the visiting Pojoaque Valley Elks/Elkettes (Pojoaque, NM)
The Elks/Elkettes (15-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Espanola Valley (Espanola, NM). The Sundevils enter the 4A District 2 challenge with a 10-5 record. In their last challenge, Espanola Valley defeated Taos (Taos, NM), 3-1, in a league challenge.
Next, the Hilltoppers encounter the Moriarty Pintos (Moriarty, NM) in a 4A District 2 challenge, on Thursday, October 18. Los Alamos will attempt to move on its 8-8 season record. The Pintos enter the challenge with a 7-9 record after their 3-1 league loss to Pojoaque Valley (Pojoaque, NM).
Match Summary
In a tough three set loss the Hilltoppers could not find there groove swinging at the ball with 30 hitting errors. The Pojoaque defense was stout and kept digging up balls and keeping rallies in play. The Hilltoppers face the Moriarty Pintos on Thursday night and look to rebound from the off performance on Tuesday night.
