October 8, 2009: Coos Bay, OR 97420 The Marshfield Pirates football team (Coos Bay, OR), was tipped 21-20 in Thursday's league challenge with the visiting Churchill Lancers (Eugene, OR)
The Lancers (5-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Willamette (Eugene, OR). The Wolverines come into the 5A Midwestern challenge with a 1-5 record. In their last challenge, Willamette was tipped by Thurston (Springfield, OR), 68-20, in a league challenge.
The Pirates now sport a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they host North Eugene for a 5A Midwestern challenge on Friday, October 16. Marshfield will meet a Highlanders team coming off a 45-42 non-league win over Parkrose (Portland, OR). The Highlanders record now stands at 3-2.
