The South Spartans (Torrance, CA) basketball nipped the visiting Paramount Pirates (Paramount, CA), 64-60 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Spartans (1-3) will now prepare for their test against St. Margaret's (San Juan Capistrano, CA). The Tartans go into the non-league test with a 3-3 record. In their last test, St. Margaret's was tipped by Flintridge Prep (La Canada, CA), 53-50, in a non-league test.

The Pirates now own a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to Whittier Christian for a non-league test on Wednesday, December 10. Paramount will encounter a Heralds squad coming off a 47-36 non-league win over South (Torrance, CA). The Heralds record now stands at 4-2.
