The St. Patrick Fighting Irish (Biloxi, MS) basketball nipped the host Perry Central Bulldogs (New Augusta, MS), 48-43 in Friday's league test.

The Fighting Irish (5-9) will now prepare for their test against Collins (Collins, MS). The Tigers go into the 2A Region 8 test with a 8-7 record. In their last test, Collins was tipped by Jefferson Davis County (Bassfield, MS), 60-36, in a non-league test.

The Bulldogs now own a 2-10 record. They play next when they travel to Our Lady Academy for a 2A Region 8 test on Friday, January 12. Perry Central will encounter a Crescents squad coming off a 38-26 non-league win over Resurrection Catholic (Pascagoula, MS). The Crescents record now stands at 2-9.
