New York High School Basketball - Averill Park trounces Cicero-North Syracuse
December 28, 2023: Averill Park, NY 12018 The Averill Park Warriors (Averill Park, NY) basketball crushed the visiting Cicero-North Syracuse Northstars (Cicero, NY), 58-34 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Warriors (9-0) will now prepare for their test against Saratoga Springs (Saratoga Springs, NY). The Blue Streaks go into the Section 2 Suburban test with a 2-8 record. In their last test, Saratoga Springs was trounced by Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake (Burnt Hills, NY), 46-42, in a non-league test.
The Northstars now own a 2-3 record. They play next when they travel to Fayetteville-Manlius for a Section 3 Salt City - Metro test on Wednesday, January 3. Cicero-North Syracuse will encounter a Hornets squad coming off a 54-46 non-league loss to Fairport (Fairport, NY). The Hornets record now stands at 0-1.
