December 28, 2023: South Elgin, IL 60177 The Fenwick Friars (Oak Park, IL) basketball knocked off the host South Elgin Storm (South Elgin, IL), 45-34 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Friars (3-13) will now prepare for their test against Dundee-Crown (Carpentersville, IL). The Chargers go into the non-league test with a 4-11 record. In their last test, Dundee-Crown notched a victory over Buffalo Grove (Buffalo Grove, IL), 45-36, in a non-league test.
The Storm now own a 3-13 record. They play next when they host Aurora East for a Upstate Eight test on Thursday, January 4. South Elgin will encounter a Tomcats squad coming off a 42-21 non-league loss to Walther Christian Academy (Melrose Park, IL). The Tomcats record now stands at 1-13.
