The Hoover Huskies (Clendenin, WV) softball nipped the host St. Albans Red Dragons (St. Albans, WV), 6-5 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Huskies (7-4) will now prepare for their bout against Jefferson (Shenandoah Junction, WV). The Cougars go into the non-league bout with a 11-3 record. In their last bout, Jefferson held off Hampshire (Romney, WV), 11-3, in a league bout.

The Red Dragons now possess a 7-3 record. They play next when they travel to South Charleston for a Mountain State bout on Tuesday, April 11.
