The Freedom Patriots (Morganton, NC) basketball nipped the visiting Hibriten Panthers (Lenoir, NC), 51-47 in Friday's non-league test.

The Patriots (10-5) will now prepare for their test against South Caldwell (Hudson, NC). The Spartans go into the non-league test with a 6-8 record. In their last test, South Caldwell was tipped by Watauga (Boone, NC), 45-30, in a non-league test.
