Kentucky High School Football - Newport Central Catholic tipped by Campbell County
September 18, 2009: Newport, KY 41071 The Newport Central Catholic Thoroughbreds football team (Newport, KY), was tipped 21-17 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting Campbell County Camels (Alexandria, KY)
The Camels (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Boone County (Florence, KY). The Rebels come into the 6A District 6 challenge with a 1-3 record. In their last challenge, Boone County was tipped by Highlands (Fort Thomas, KY), 36-14, in a non-league challenge.
The Thoroughbreds now sport a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Covington Catholic for a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 26. Newport Central Catholic will meet a Colonels team coming off a 43-14 non-league win over Beechwood (Fort Mitchell, KY). The Colonels record now stands at 2-3.
