The Rio Hondo Prep Kares (Arcadia, CA) softball routed the host Poly Panthers (Pasadena, CA), 6-1 in Thursday's league bout.

The Kares (6-1) will now prepare for their bout against Duarte (Duarte, CA). The Falcons go into the non-league bout with a 9-1 record. In their last bout, Duarte held off Azusa (Azusa, CA), 1-0, in a league bout.
