Indian River Braves (Chesapeake, VA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Lakeland Cavaliers (Suffolk, VA), 43-42 in a league bout.

With the victory, Indian River upgrades its record to 9-5 on the campaign. The Braves travel to Booker T. Washington (Norfolk, VA) to play the Mighty Bookers in a non-league bout on Monday, January 23. The Mighty Bookers come into the bout with a record of 3-7.
