January 20, 2023: Portales, NM 88130 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Clovis Wildcats (Clovis, NM) and the host Portales Rams (Portales, NM), saw Clovis's basketball squad overcome Portales by a tally of 42-27.
With the victory, Clovis improves its record to 16-3 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Carlsbad (Carlsbad, NM) to confront the Cavemen in a 5A District 4 challenge on Tuesday, January 24. The Cavemen come into the challenge with a record of 18-2. Carlsbad won 39-26 in their recent non-league challenge against Rio Rancho (Rio Rancho, NM)
Next up, the Rams confront the Roswell Coyotes (Roswell, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 21. Portales will attempt to improve on its 9-9 season record. The Coyotes come into the challenge with a 9-10 record after their 46-27 non-league loss to Artesia (Artesia, NM).
