The South Loup basketball team (Arnold, NE), was overwhelmed 56-32 in Monday's non-league battle with the host Hershey Panthers (Hershey, NE)

The Panthers now possess a 9-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sutherland for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 10. Hershey will battle a Sailors team coming off a 52-35 non-league loss to Perkins County (Grant, NE). The Sailors record now stands at 0-7.

The (5-5) will now prepare for their battle against Maxwell (Maxwell, NE). The Wildcats come into the non-league battle with a 1-9 record. In their last battle, Maxwell was overwhelmed by Maywood/Hayes Center (Maywood, NE), 68-27, in a league battle.
