Holly Springs Golden Hawks (Holly Springs, NC) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Leesville Road Pride (Raleigh, NC), 50-36 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Holly Springs upgrades its record to 6-3 on the campaign. The Golden Hawks host Topsail (Hampstead, NC) to play the Pirates in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 21. The Pirates come into the bout with a record of 8-1. Topsail won 61-35 in their recent non-league bout against Richlands (Richlands, NC)

Next up, the Pride play the Corinth Holders Pirates (Wendell, NC) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 22. Leesville Road will attempt to upgrade on its 2-8 season record. The Pirates come into the bout with a 10-0 record after their 47-29 league win over Cleveland (Clayton, NC).
