The Altavista Colonels (Altavista, VA) softball the visiting Nelson County Governors (Lovingston, VA), 11-9 in Wednesday's league bout.

The Colonels (2-9) will now prepare for their bout against Appomattox County (Appomattox, VA). The Raiders go into the Dogwood bout with a 13-1 record. In their last bout, Appomattox County held off William Campbell (Naruna, VA), 9-1, in a league bout.
