The Ashley Screaming Eagle crushed the visiting Laney Buccaneers baseball team by a count of 12-3 in Friday's league bout.

The Screaming Eagle now possess a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they host Purnell Swett for a non-league bout on Saturday, March 26. Ashley will face a Rams team coming off a 22-5 league win over Douglas Byrd (Fayetteville, NC). The Rams record now stands at 6-4.

Next, the Buccaneers face the Southeastern HomeSchool Cardinals (Wilmington, NC) in a non-league bout, on Monday, March 28. Laney will attempt to move on its 4-4 season record. The Cardinals enter the bout with a 0-1 record after their 12-1 non-league loss to Wayne Country Day (Goldsboro, NC).
