Indiana High School Volleyball - Carroll nudged by Clinton Prairie
August 25, 2022: Frankfort, IN 46041 The Clinton Prairie Gophers volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the visiting Carroll Cougars to 2 in the Gophers league victory on Thursday.
The Gophers now possess a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Heritage for a non-league game on Saturday, August 27. Clinton Prairie will meet a Patriots team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran (Fort Wayne, IN). The Patriots record now stands at 5-2.
The Cougars (2-6) will now prepare for their game against Frontier (Chalmers, IN). The Falcons enter the non-league game with a 3-1 record. In their last game, Frontier was nudged by Harrison (West Lafayette, IN), 3-0, in a non-league game.
Match Summary
It was there to be won, but our serve failed us, as in the 15 point winner take all 3rd set, we missed 3 serves and ended the match with a negative ace to error ration; struggled all night with tip coverage; lastly, we need to recognize CP's outside hitter. She was awfully good. Match point was a forearm pass on an out of system ball that she sent low to the net with pace.
