Arizona High School Basketball - Independence can't hold off Agua Fria

The Agua Fria Owls basketball team scored 53 points and held the host Independence Patriots to 46 in the Owls non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Owls now sport a 1-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Marcos de Niza for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 7. Agua Fria will battle a Padres team coming off a 68-67 non-league loss to Tempe (Tempe, AZ). The Padres record now stands at 4-2.

The Patriots (1-4) will now prepare for their contest against Cactus Shadows (Cave Creek, AZ). The Falcons enter the non-league contest with a 3-2 record. In their last contest, Cactus Shadows nudged Verrado (Buckeye, AZ), 56-46, in a non-league contest.
