The Buffaloes now possess a 17-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Fort Sumner/House for a A District 6 battle on Tuesday, February 6. Melrose will confront a team coming off a 65-27 league win over Grady (Grady, NM). The record now stands at 17-4.
The Panthers (8-10) will now prepare for their battle against Eunice (Eunice, NM). The Cardinals come into the 2A District 4 battle with a 10-10 record. In their last outing, Eunice smashed Gateway Christian (Roswell, NM), 51-34, in a non-league outing.
