April 29, 2023: Old Orchard Beach, ME 04064 In Saturday's league contest, the Maranacook Black Bears (Readfield, ME) softball team overwhelmed the host Old Orchard Beach Seagulls (Old Orchard Beach, ME), by a margin of 19-1.
With the triumph, Maranacook moves its record to 3-1 on the year. The Black Bears travel to Maine Central Institute (Pittsfield, ME) to play the Huskies in a non-league contest on Monday, May 1. The Huskies come into the game with a record of 2-2. Maine Central Institute won 7-5 in their recent non-league game against Winslow (Winslow, ME)
In their next game, the Seagulls clash with the Sacopee Valley Hawks (Cornish, ME) in a Class C South game, on Monday, May 1. Old Orchard Beach will attempt to improve on its 0-3 season record. The Hawks come into the game with a 4-1 record after their 31-4 non-league win over St. Dominic (Lewiston, ME).
