Colorado High School Basketball - Centauri overwhelms Bayfield
January 13, 2024: La Jara, CO 81140 Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Centauri Falcons (La Jara, CO) and the visiting Bayfield Wolverines (Bayfield, CO), saw Centauri's basketball squad wallop Bayfield by a tally of 62-39.
With the victory, Centauri improves its record to 6-4 on the campaign. The Falcons host Montezuma-Cortez (Cortez, CO) to play the Panthers in a 4A/3A Intermountain challenge on Friday, January 19. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 4-6. Montezuma-Cortez lost 72-33 in their recent league challenge against Alamosa (Alamosa, CO)
Next up, the Wolverines play the Ignacio Bobcats (Ignacio, CO) in a 4A/3A Intermountain challenge, on Thursday, January 18. Bayfield will attempt to improve on its 1-9 season record. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a 5-5 record after their 54-37 league loss to Pagosa Springs (Pagosa Springs, CO).
