St. Francis Fighting Saints (St. Francis, MN) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the host Irondale Knights (New Brighton, MN), 43-42 in a league bout.

With the win, St. Francis upgrades its record to 5-13 on the season. The Fighting Saints host Coon Rapids (Coon Rapids, MN) to encounter the Cardinals in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 29. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 4-11. Coon Rapids lost 66-43 in their recent league bout against Osseo (Osseo, MN)
