February 9, 2011: Farmville, VA 23901 In Wednesday's league outing, the Prince Edward County Eagles (Farmville, VA) basketball squad nipped the visiting Southampton Indians (Courtland, VA), by a margin of 50-48.
The Eagles (13-7) will now prepare for their match against Nottoway (Nottoway, VA). The Cougars enter the AA Southside match with a 1-13 record. In their last match, Nottoway was nipped by Brunswick (Lawrenceville, VA), 71-34, in a league match.
With the defeat, Southampton moves to 13-4 on the year. The Indians host Greensville County (Emporia, VA) to confront the Eagles in a AA Southside match on Friday, February 11.
